Adult & Family Membership

Finchley Manor has first class tennis facilities, including: three artificial grass courts, five cushioned acrylic and two Junior all-weather courts, four of which are floodlit. Professional coaching is available for both seniors and juniors. We also hold group sessions for beginners and improvers. There are ten teams competing in the Middlesex Leagues. To promote social tennis, Saturday and Sunday afternoons, 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm and Wednesday from 7.00 pm to 9.00 pm are dedicated to organized play and mixing in.

• There is a 20% discount for two or more adults of one family living at the same address (with the exception of juniors with adult status).

For Adult renewals only there is an early payment discount of £25 for payments made before April 1^st 2010. (Credit card payments do not qualify for early payment discount, but debit card payments do)

Junior Membership

Juniors are well catered for at Finchley Manor Tennis Club.

We have 10 courts, four of which are floodlit, a good sized practice wall, mini-tennis and year-round outdoor table-tennis. Our all-weather courts are designated 'Junior Priority'.

Organised activities include Summer & Easter Tennis Camps, group sessions for beginners and improvers and social play sessions dedicated to organized play and mixing in.

Professional coaching is available at all Junior levels including Tots, Teens and In-betweens and there are plenty of competition opportunities with league and intra / inter club matches and tournaments throughout the year.

British Tennis Membership is the LTA's scheme for individual participants in tennis.

As Finchley Manor Tennis Club is affiliated to the LTA, by joining the Club, you can also become a British Tennis Member at no additional cost until at least the end of February 2012.

The benefits of British Tennis Membership include entry into the club ballot for Wimbledon tickets for adult and junior members; a player rating; a BTM TeamCard (which is a way of collecting points when you shop online which you can then redeem against tennis equipment), discounts on tennis tickets (e.g., Davis Cup), the monthly BTM e-newsletter, access to the online BTM members’ only area. ….to name but a few.

Squash Membership

Membership

The club is open seven days a week, with play possible between 08:30 and 22:30 every day except weekends when last bookings are at 21:00.

We have four courts, one of them (Court 1) is glass backed. Three are booked on a 45 minute basis (except for the first of the day, which are only 30 minutes), while number 4 has hourly bookings throughout the day.

As far as cost of booking is concerned, a peak-time 45 minute booking (6:45 pm - 9:00 pm Monday to Thursday) costs £4.50: this reduces to £4.00 for half-peak (the times immediately adjacent to peak-time) and only £3.00 for all off-peak 45 minute bookings. Court 4 bookings (1 hour) have proportionally higher costs. All these prices are total per booking, to be shared between two players.

The (optional) ladder leagues usually involve a member in 4 or 5 matches per 5/6 week period. They cover a wide ability range and give members the chance to encounter many different playing styles. Participants may win a prize by finishing their matches first (regardless of the outcome)

Guests may play (the booking member pays a £2.00 guest fee), but the same guest should not play more than 3 times a year - after that, we think that they should also be members.

Bookings are made using our on-line system in which each member establishes a credit account and draws on it at the time of booking.. The member’s balance is displayed whenever he/she logs in and after making a booking.

Gym Membership

Gym Membership

Membership of the gym, as with all branches of Finchley Manor Sports Club, includes Social Membership with access to our bar, TV and social area.

Independent Social Membership is available to non sports club members for an annual fee, please see the Social Membership Tab for further details.

Our membership year runs from 1st of April to 31st of March. For those new members joining part way through the membership year we pro-rate fees with the remainder of the year, or three full months (whichever is greater), payable. All memberships run for the remainder of the Membership Year Ie. from the date you join to the 31st of March.

We send out renewal applications via email (or post for those who request it) in early March each year and membership fees must be paid before 1st of April. There is a £10 administration fee payable in the case of late payment.

All new members, and anyone re-joining the gym after a lapse of twelve months or more must undertake our Gym Induction Course. This course is by appointment with our Personal Trainer. The fee for the course is £20.00 per person.

There is a £5.00 administration charge for missed Induction appointments (this fee will not be levied if you notify us and re-schedule at least 48 hours before your original appointment time).
